Kodak’s document imaging channel partners

Kodak’s document imaging channel partners recently met in Las Vegas to learn about new products, solutions, technologies and best practices to help them meet customers’ document capture and management needs.

Themed “Community of Excellence,” the KODAK Executive Summit also supported the resellers of Kodak’s Document Imaging products by focusing on the development of management strategies that help them grow their businesses.

Product demonstrations, a software showcase and an awards dinner rounded out the four day session. Attendees included KODAK Authorized Imaging Resellers, Desktop Scanner Resellers, Value Added Distributors, Independent Software Vendors, and Latin American Distributors.

A series of Kodak executives presented keynote addresses covering a range of business and marketing topics. Speakers included Phil Faraci, President and COO of Eastman Kodak Company; Jeffrey Hayzlett, Chief Business Development Office and Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company; Dolores Kruchten, General Manager, Document Imaging, and Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company, and Don McMahan, Vice President Sales and Regional Business Manager, United States & Canada Region, Document Imaging, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group (GCG).

“This year’s summit was an opportunity to review Kodak’s plans for continued industry leadership and growth through commitment, investment and by providing innovative document management products and solutions,” said Kruchten. “We also discussed business development strategies within the document imaging industry as market trends forecast potential for additional growth.”

Kruchten’s presentation, entitled “The Future of Document Imaging,” provided an overview of Kodak’s future view of the industry and market, demonstrating Kodak’s leadership in vision and determination to lead the future shape of the industry. Among other key points, the address discussed how capture software plays an increasingly important role in the process of managing documents and information and set the stage for acknowledging 20 industry awards received by Kodak’s Document Imaging business as well as the seven new products launched in 2007—the most on both counts in the 80 year history of the business.

“This year’s summit was a new format of bringing together the decision makers from our growing channel, including our traditional Authorized Imaging Resellers as well as our newly formed Desktop Scanner Reseller channel. The results were phenomenal, and the chemistry was great as we had much to celebrate, including creative applications and solutions, top sales performers, and outstanding service providers,” said McMahan. “The summit provided an opportunity for our channel partners to gather in one spot to exchange best practices in sales and marketing strategies from across the country.

“Members of the $1 Million Club, BPO Management Services and Datamation Imaging Services also earned 2008 Service Awards and Product/Media Awards. New Wave Technologies took home both the Service Award and the Product/Media Award,” added McMahan. “And Image Access Corporation joined the $1 Million Club Winners along with receiving a 2008 Service Award.”

Additional award winners include Versitec; EDAC; Microtek; 1st in Scanners; and Notable Solutions Inc.

Additional LAR Awards went to Divatek; Arguz; Servimagenes; and Netscan Digital Ltda.
